Great Program Opportunities
This program is the traditional program of Big Brothers Big Sisters. Volunteers are matched with a child between the ages of six and eighteen with whom they spend two to four hours per week. We ask the volunteer, child/youth, and parent, for a one-year commitment to this program. On an average, most matches do last longer. Community based matches include Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Big Couples, and Family Matches. We especially need male volunteers.

These are site based programs at area schools or the Joplin Boys and Girls Club. Volunteers meet with a Little once a week at the Boys and Girls Club or the Little's school, helping with homework, playing games and sports. This program runs thru the school year with many continueing on into the following school year and beyond.
